Pizza Loop

Loyalty + Pizza Pass

Points, tiers, and a monthly Pass that pays you every month.

Pizza Loop's loyalty program is built into the POS. Points per order, tiers, and a $9.99/mo Pizza Pass subscription that creates recurring revenue that isn't a sale. Included at every tier.

Why every pizza shop needs a loyalty program

Loyalty in pizza is different from loyalty in retail. Pizza customers don’t need to “come back” — they need to come back this Friday instead of last week’s Friday. Frequency is the game.

A good loyalty program does three things:

  1. Gives customers a small reason to pick you over the pizza place down the street
  2. Captures their contact info so you can market to them directly
  3. Creates a benchmark for “regular” vs “occasional” that lets you segment your outreach

What Pizza Loop’s loyalty does

Two layers: Points + Tiers and Pizza Pass Subscription.

Points + Tiers

Every dollar of every order (POS, online, phone, app) earns points. Points redeem for menu items. Standard loyalty mechanics, but with pizza-specific defaults:

  • 1 point per $1 spent
  • 100 points = 1 free medium pizza (or $10 credit toward anything)
  • Tiers unlock at 500, 1000, 2500 points — e.g., “Free garlic knots on every order at Silver tier”
  • Bonus points on slow days (Tuesday orders = 2x points)

Pizza Pass Subscription

This is the more interesting thing. A $9.99/mo subscription that includes benefits like:

  • Free delivery on every order
  • One free medium pizza per month
  • 10% off everything
  • Early access to specialty pies

Customers subscribe through the customer app or website. Pizza Loop Payments handles the recurring charge. Cancels any time.

The math on Pizza Pass:

  • If you have 500 subscribers paying $9.99/mo = $5,000/mo in recurring revenue that isn’t a food sale
  • Subscribers order 2-3x more often than non-subscribers because they’ve already paid, they want the value
  • Their delivery cost to you is real (~$5-8/order), so free delivery isn’t free to you. But the subscription revenue and the increased frequency more than pays for it.

Subscription revenue also stabilizes cash flow in ways that pizza orders don’t. Rain forecast on a Friday? Your subscribers still get charged $9.99 on the 1st.

Customer segmentation

Every customer gets tagged automatically based on behavior:

  • New — first 30 days
  • Active — ordered in the last 30 days
  • Lapsing — last order 30-60 days ago
  • Lapsed — last order 60-90 days ago
  • Churned — 90+ days
  • VIP — top 10% by lifetime value
  • Pizza Pass subscriber — active subscription

Boost campaigns and reactivation flows target these segments precisely.

What Pizza Loop’s loyalty replaces

  • Toast Loyalty ($45-99/mo)
  • Square Loyalty ($45+/mo)
  • LevelUp ($75-200/mo)
  • Belly, Fivestars ($50-150/mo)
  • Custom subscription build with a developer ($5,000-15,000 one-time)

Included in Pizza Loop base price. Pizza Loop Payments processes each Pass subscription charge at our standard rate; that fee comes out of the $9.99 like any other card transaction.

Integration with everything else

Loyalty points flow into the customer database. Pizza Pass status shows in the customer app, in the POS at checkout, and in reports. Boost campaigns can target only Pass subscribers, or exclude them. Reactivation flows treat lapsed Pass subscribers differently than lapsed one-time customers.
